I know I don't see a child attempting to view a brewery website. Is that a mustache or dirt on your upper lip? Do you even know what a VHS is?

A proud member to our flagship lineup, the name “Sixteen Springfields” was bestowed on this IPA after some amusing local folklore. After the Battle of Olustee and the end of the Civil War in 1865, the story goes that Union troops enjoying a meal at Lake City’s Hotel Blanche stacked their weapons outside the dining room. Unreconstructed rebels gathered the guns and dumped them in Lake DeSoto a block away and beat the ever-living tar out of the soldiers upon exiting the hotel.
The tale took on a legendary cast, often told but not necessarily believed. Then in 1982 the lake was drained and in the mud lay 16 Springfield rifles which are now on display at the Lake City Public Library.

This Imperial IPA balances Pale 2-Row and Vienna malts with a bouquet of Columbus, Centennial, Simcoe and Cascade hops beautifully. Pairs well with: Grilled meats, Indian Curries, salty fried dishes as well as Mexican food showcasing light and dark flavors like cilantro and refried beans, lime and roasted chilies. Those combinations make great partners for IPA with its own caramel/citrus combo.
