The Battle of Olustee was fought in Baker County, Florida on February 20, 1864, during the American Civil War. It was the only major battle fought in Florida during the war and today is memorialized over a 3 day long festival, showcasing street vendors, live music, food and family attractions smack dab in Lake City’s historic downtown. The “Olustee Festival” is capped off featuring Florida’s larges civil war battle reenactment located at the Olustee national park in Baker County. In honor of the yearly festivities we’ve dubbed this smooth and malty red Irish ale, “Seymour and Finnegan’s” after the Battle’s two opposing Generals, Brig. Gen. Truman Seymour, USA and Brig. Gen. Andrew Finnegan, CSA.

Featuring subtle notes of Magnum and Hallertau hops with 2-Row, Maris Otter, biscuit and roasted barley. Pairs well with: Roasted or grilled meat. The roasted malt and caramel notes compliment smoky and gamey flavors well. Avoid Mexican, Thai, or other spicy cuisines as they will overpower the flavor of this red.
