Winning Silver in this years 2019 Best Florida Beer Competition, our “O’leno” Cream Ale was named after one of Florida’s first state parks which rests just 20 minutes south of Lake City. O’Leno State Park was first developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s and today those original park structures still proudly stand as a testament to the craftsmanship and engineering of those builders. The CCC was a work relief program that gave millions of young men employment on environmental projects during the Great Depression. Considered by many to be one of the most successful of Roosevelt’s New Deal programs, the CCC planted more than three billion trees and constructed trails and shelters in more than 800 parks nationwide during its nine years of existence. The CCC helped to shape the modern national and state park systems we enjoy today. 3 Cheers for the everyman’s ale!
This slightly sweet, crisp, medium bodied cream ale is a beautiful blend of Pale 2-Row, German Pilsner and flaked corn hopped with subtle notes of Saaz. Pairs well with: sweet, hot, or spicy foods including many Asian dishes, chili, mango or jalapeño salsa.
